Membership lives in one place. Availability somewhere else. Team changes happen on WhatsApp. Somebody updates the website. Somebody else records the match. The policy documents are on a laptop in someone’s spare room.

Most clubs already pay for software. Plenty of them still collect subs in cash and keep the member list in a spreadsheet. The tools were never really the problem. Nothing joins up, so somebody has to.

No switching project

You don’t have to move your website.

Most clubs have a website they are reasonably happy with, and moving it is a project nobody has time for. Ovalis doesn’t touch it. Keep publishing your match reports wherever you publish them now.

Ovalis handles the part that isn’t a website: the members, the training, the selection, the policies, the matchday and the admin that currently lives in six different places.

Where Ovalis fits

Ovalis doesn’t replace GMS.

Player registration and club affiliation stay with the RFU. That is a requirement, not a choice, and no club app changes it.

Ovalis handles the week-to-week running of the club around it: the work GMS was never designed to do.

What is Ovalis?

Ovalis is rugby club management software for volunteer-run rugby clubs in England. It brings memberships, training, matchday, club policies, communication and match records into one place.

What does Ovalis do today?

Six things: memberships and member records, training management, matchday management including availability and team selection, club profile and policy storage, club and group communication, and structured match stats capture.

Does Ovalis replace the RFU’s Game Management System?

No. Player registration and club affiliation stay with the RFU through GMS, which is a regulatory requirement rather than a choice. Ovalis handles the week-to-week running of the club around it.

Do we have to move our club website?

No. Ovalis does not touch your website. Keep publishing news and match reports wherever you publish them now, and use Ovalis for the admin that sits behind it.

Who is Ovalis for?

The volunteers who run rugby clubs: secretaries, treasurers, fixture secretaries, team managers, coaches, welfare officers and committee members.

Which clubs can use Ovalis?

Volunteer-run rugby clubs in England. We are starting with clubs in the Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire, where we know the rugby, and working outwards from there.

How much does Ovalis cost?

Pricing is not published yet. It will be listed openly on this site as soon as it is settled. Clubs joining this season are part of the founding club programme, and we will be straightforward with them about what happens next.
