Who is Ovalis for?

Ovalis is for the volunteers who run rugby clubs: secretaries, treasurers, fixture secretaries, team managers, coaches, welfare officers and committee members. It is built for volunteer-run community clubs rather than professional or academy setups.

What does Ovalis do?

Ovalis does six things today: memberships and member records, training management, matchday management including player availability and team selection, club profile and policy document storage, club and group communication, and structured match stats capture.

Where is Ovalis available?

Ovalis is available to rugby clubs in England. The first clubs are in the Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire, in North West England.

How much does Ovalis cost?

Ovalis has not published pricing yet. Pricing will be published openly on this website as soon as it is settled, rather than kept behind a sales call.

Does Ovalis replace the RFU Game Management System (GMS)?

No. Ovalis does not replace GMS. RFU player registration and club affiliation are regulatory requirements handled in GMS, and Ovalis handles the operational work around them.

Does Ovalis replace our club website?

No. Ovalis is not a website builder and does not affect your existing club website. Clubs using Pitchero, an rfu.club site or anything else can keep it and use Ovalis for club administration.

How is Ovalis different from Pitchero, Spond and Teamo?

Ovalis is rugby-only and focused on club administration rather than club presence. Pitchero is strongest as a club website and public-facing platform; Spond is a free, general-purpose team scheduler used across many sports; Teamo is a whole-club platform with a branded club app. Ovalis is designed around the specific workflow of a rugby club running several sides at once.

Who makes Ovalis?

Ovalis is made by Campbell Clayton and Sam Bramhall in the Wirral, North West England. Campbell is the technical founder; Sam is the non-technical founder. Both have played for local clubs, Anselmians and Oxton Parkonians, and have worked on the administrative side of running a club.
